The month of May is the Lilly of the Valley

This beautifully fragrant flower makes me think of mothers.... my mother, my grandmother, mothers I have been blessed to know. Always blooming at Mother's Day, my mother would pick a bunch to put inside by the kitchen sink where she spent most of her time feeding a family of eight. The role reversed and as I cared for my mother in her last years, I would bring her a bunch to put by her side. Funny how fragrances remind you of memories. She had lots of them to share <3
